Bozeman Police Department

 The Bozeman Police Department reports for Monday included the following:

  • Officers helped a homeless man get assistance finding a job.
  • A woman, who called to report her boyfriend missing, learned he was in jail.
  •  The driver of a semi truck hit a utility pole on North Black Avenue around 5:30 p.m. and took off.
  • A female driver struck a mailbox on North Third Avenue and fled at about 5:30 p.m.

The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office reports for Monday included the following:

  • A resident of Axtell Gateway Road was concerned about someone trying to sell cleaning supplies.
  • A caller reported having video of a vehicle spinning doughnuts on newly laid gravel on Camp Creek Road around 4 p.m.
  • A caller said a man phoned around 8 p.m. and threatened to “come over” and “take care of things” after accusing the person of stealing his newspapers.
  • A flatbed work trailer was stolen from Moonlight Basin.
  •  Several cows were causing a traffic hazard on Interstate 90 near mile marker 279 just before midnight.

The inmate population at the Gallatin County jail included the following: The jail held 46 inmates. An additional 21 inmates were being held in other jails. Three people were in the sheriff’s county work program
